Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Virtual Classroom March 27-28

In this course, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) will be explored as a treatment approach that has gained widespread application in the treatment of addictions and mental health disorders. CBT is structured, goal-oriented, and focused on the immediate problems faced by substance abusers entering treatment who are struggling to control their substance use. Participants in this course will learn and practice effective ways to integrate tools specific to CBT in a comprehensive treatment strategy when working with clients with substance use disorder.
Time/Duration: Virtual Classroom meets online via Zoom or Google Meet from 8:30 – 4:00 (14 hours) for 2 consecutive days. Students will also have handouts and resource material for the class as well as the final exam and course evaluation. Enrolled students will receive an online classroom login 2-5 days prior to the class start date.
Access: must download free Zoom or Google Meet application on a video-capable phone, laptop, or desktop.
