DESCRIPTION:Day 1- Child Abuse \nVirtual 12 Contact Hour /Two Day Class from 8:30am- 3:30pm (with an hour lunch break) on Saturday Dec 11 and Sunday Dec 12 for only $150.00 each day. \n  \nOn June 22\, 2021 Governor Polis signed HB21-1228 into law. The legislation requires that effective January 1\, 2022 Child and Family Investigators receive training in: \n\n(a) Six initial hours of training on domestic violence\, including coercive control\, and its traumatic effect on children\, adults\, and families\n(b) Six hours of training on child abuse and child sexual abuse and its traumatic effects\n(c) Four subsequent hours of training every two years on domestic violence\, including coercive control\, child abuse\, child sexual abuse and the traumatic effect on children\, adults\, and families\nClass participants will:\n(d) Be awarded a Certificate of Completion  to verify training by a recognized source to CJD\n(e) Earn twelve contact hours of continuing education for multiple professional purposes\n(f) Participate in training to assist with the legislative intent to engage in culturally informed and nondiscriminatory practices\n(g) Demonstrate the purpose of investigation is to assist in determining the best interests of the child\, with the child’s safety always paramount\n(h) Understand basic family systems theories for conceptualization of investigation cases\n(i) Be prepared for the two year renewal cycle that begins on January 1\, 2022\n\nCost: $150/day \nDate: November Dec 11 \nTime: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
